A Quick Note About Self-Respect

The following is a message I got today from the “What God wants you to know today,” an application I subscribed to in Facebook.

JP got a message that on this day, God wants him to know: That no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

You have to agree that you are less and that someone else is more to feel inferior. If you don’t agree, you can not possibly feel inferior. You might know something less, or you might be able to do something less, but you ARE unique and hence simply incomparable. Do not buy into being reduced to an object of comparison.

On a related note, one of my friends said that the longer you stay with the things you don’t really enjoy equates to every moment you lose with what could have been a happier one.

Life is too short to wait for someone who will not wait for you, to think of someone who does not think of you, and to love and appreciate someone who never loved and appreciated you.

I don’t mean to be sarcastic or angry.  I’m simply saying the truth in all bluntness.

Happiness is just waiting for me, and so I move on!  Wake up from the fantasy and go for it, for a moment of happiness delayed is one moment too much.

Jesus, King of Mercy, I trust in You!
