Life is Full of Drama

There’s so much drama in life.  Sometimes one would just wish to put all of the noise in this world on mute so that one can be at peace.  However the absence of any conflict doesn’t necessarily mean there is peace.

Peace is not an absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice. – Baruch Spinoza, Dutch Jewish philosopher (1632 – 1677)

In our big and small ways we each contribute to the drama that’s in this world.  What we do or not do either escalates the tensions or reduces it.

For what it’s worth, life wouldn’t be as exciting and as colorful in the absence of angst and struggle, for such gives us a reason, even an inspiration, to do something to make things in our lives, and consequently in our world, better.

Life is full of drama, and that is to be expected.  It’s all the trials in life that make life dramatic.  However it’s through faith in God that we know all these trials have a purpose, meant for our eventual good.  And not all drama is due to pain.  It’s because of the good things that still happen in this world that make this life still good.
