Tragic When Arrogance and Bigotry Describes You

It’s exhausting to fight people on the Internet because there will never be a shortage of people who are wrong.

Internet's ills

Some misguided thinking goes this way: “Fight people anyway, since it’s more important to be right, especially if you know better.  The more people that accept and adopt your thinking and beliefs, the fewer idiots there will be in this world.  There’s a sense of arrogance and bigotry in forcing your point of view, but it’s justified in doing so since you’re right.”

It’s a scary fact of life that there are people who actually operate at elevated levels of hubris, an unfounded sense of entitlement, and a very narrow and closed mind.  It makes things worse if they’re in positions of influence and power.  And it becomes tragic when you eventually realize that this type of person accurately describes YOU.

Pray that you never wake up one day to be this kind of hated person.
